From the street, the Jiran House appears as a towering, guarded monolith of concrete, timber, and stone. Yet, behind this imposing facade lies a sprawling 11,000 sqft sanctuary designed to challenge first impressions and reward the curious with a lush, interior world. In this episode of Design Seed, we explore a masterclass in modern tropical architecture that masterfully navigates a challenging 6-meter site drop through an ingenious staggered layout. By conceptualizing houses within a plot, the architect has crafted a multi-generational home where privacy and community coexist through thoughtful spatial choreography.

Beyond the public areas, the home reveals deeply personal retreats, including a dramatic wellness center. This space features a gym and a hidden waterfall sauna, creating the evocative sensation of a private cave nestled within a jungle.
